Story
Come November the 25th it will be a full year since our good friend and colleague Harry Thompson passed away.
Harry was a genuinely inspiring individual who brightened up the lives of others. He was dealt a horrifically cruel hand at a way-too-young age yet managed everything thrown at him with such dignity, humour and easygoing grace that you might have been mistaken for thinking he had nothing more than a common cold.
He was relentless in his own efforts to raise both awareness of brain cancer and funds for the charities he held dear; with Rennie Grove Peace providing palliative care for him in his final days it seems only right that we call upon everyone to once again lace up their shoes and tackle the mean streets of St. Albans on the 7th December.
Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care is a charity providing care and support for adults with a progressive life-limiting illness, in Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire. Our patients are supported to live the best quality of life they can through the combination of outpatient, rehabilitation and supportive care services, Hospice at Home and inpatient care that is right for them. We are also here for the families of our patients, ensuring that everyone can receive the right support, helping make every moment together matter.
