We are now all familiar with social isolation, but for many people living with cancer it is something that they live with throughout their illness. And at Christmas the isolation is especially keenly felt. Patients tell us that our letters and cards give comfort, if only for a few minutes, from the reality of their day. No one wants to be in hospital over the festive period, so if a letter can make the time spent there a little easier we want to send as many as possible.
