London Marathon 2025

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·
I’m running the London Marathon to raise money for the National Deaf Children’s Society (NDCS) because it’s a cause that means a lot to me. My father grew up as a Child Of Deaf Adult (CODA), which meant I was fortunate to grow up with profoundly deaf grandparents who used British Sign Language (BSL). After meeting my dad, my mother learned BSL and now works at Heathlands School for deaf children. She has go on to starting a swim school for deaf families, which was featured by NDCS to help spread awareness.
For my family, sign language and deaf culture are part of who we are. Running this marathon for NDCS is about honoring that legacy, making my local community proud, and raising awareness for the incredible work NDCS does for deaf children and their families.
I’ve been very lucky to be given the opportunity to run the London Marathon. I will be raising money for the St. James’s Place Charitable Foundation in aid of NDCS. SJP will match all donations pound for pound, doubling the impact of every contribution.
Both the St. James’s Place Charitable Foundation and NDCS are incredible charities, and I’m committed to supporting them as much as I can by raising as much as possible.
Your donation will help NDCS continue providing vital resources, education, and advocacy for deaf children. Every contribution makes a difference to the deaf community - a community my family and I are proud to be part of.
I will also be running the Knebworth half marathon as part of my training.
No donation is too small!
