Story
In October 2024, I will be part of a team, with the University of Nottingham, taking on the Budapest Marathon (42km). My first ever marathon will be dedicated to raising money for Marie Curie.
We have decided to take on this challenge for Marie Curie, the UK’s leading end of life charity. Marie Curie supports people affected by any terminal illness, such as dementia (including Alzheimer’s), motor neurone disease, Parkinson’s, heart diseases and advanced cancer.
Every five minutes someone in the UK dies without the care and support they need.
1 in 4 people in the UK don't get the care they need at the end of their life and any donations will help close that gap by 2025
£190 would pay for the electricity bills for a whole hospice for a day.
Thank you for every and any donations made, wish me luck!
