Story:

Harvey was born with an extremely rare genetic condition that affects his nervous system. His condition affects his mobility, vision, speech and cognition, but he's always up for a challenge!

Challenge:

Harvey is going to try to climb Ben Nevis, the UK's highest peak, standing at 1,345m above sea level.

Cause:

Harvey is raising money for Genetic Alliance UK, an alliance of over 220 charities and support groups working together to improve the lives of people in the UK with genetic, rare and undiagnosed conditions. It took almost five years for Harvey's condition to be diagnosed. Around 3.5 million people in the UK are affected by rare conditions, which are individually rare but collectively common. Genetic Alliance UK campaign for timely diagnosis, better coordinated care, and improved screening, testing, services and treatment.
