Story
We were introduced to SHINE when I was 20 weeks pregnant, as many of you know our lovely son, Sebastian was born with severe congenital hydrocephalus, he was born at St Michael’s Hospital in Bristol and had brain surgery to have an endoscopic third ventriculostomy at five days old.
SHINE supported us from the moment we found out about Sebs hydrocephalus, checking in after every scan, every appointment as well as connecting us with other parents. They support us with physiotherapy and emotional support and are some of Sebastian’s biggest cheerleaders!
We are hoping to raise money by doing a hats on for hydrocephalus during our Playtots meet on Thursday the 12th of March, with our wonderful pals! If you don’t attend our amazing playgroup but would still like to donate, we are beyond grateful, for everyone!
Thank you for reading this, and for any contribution you choose to make, you are helping provide essential support to families like ours❤️
Shine provides specialist support from before birth and throughout the life of anyone living with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus, as well as to parents, families, carers and professional care staff. Shine enables people to get the best out of life.
