This year the Foundation has TEN incredible people taking on the world-famous 26.2 mile course, starting in Greenwich and finishing on The Mall to raise valuable funds for our extension of the Get Busy Living Centre!

Story

I am running the London Marathon this year to raise money for the amazing Matt Hampson Foundation. The foundation is close to my families hearts after helping my cousin’s fiancée Jacob after he sustained a life changing injury during a track day. At just 21 years old his life changed when he was left paralysed from the waist down.

The foundation has supported Jacob so much during his rehabilitation and helped him adapt his new life. The work they do for so many is truly inspiring and has motivated me to train hard to achieve a large donation for such a worthy cause.

Having never ran a marathon before, this is a big challenge for me personally, and I am grateful and delighted to be able to do this for such a great cause... wish me luck (I think I might need it!)

Your generosity and support will not go unnoticed by my family and everyone at the Matt Hampson foundation.

-------------

This year the Foundation has EIGHT incredible people taking on the world-famous 26.2 mile course, starting in Greenwich and finishing on The Mall to raise valuable funds for our beneficiaries.

The centres doors were opened in 2018 and is the brainchild of founder and former England and Leicester Tigers rugby player Matt Hampson, who himself experienced a life-changing injury in 2005 leaving him paralysed from the neck down, aged just 20.

By becoming part of the community that Matt has created, beneficiaries of the Foundation are able to draw on the experience and knowledge of people who have been on the same journey. They develop the tools and skills they need to move on as they start to rebuild their lives.
