Story
We are taking part in Winchester’s Walk for Change to support The Brain Tumour Charity as part of their national Twilight Walk campaign.
This walk is held in loving memory of George Hatt, who sadly died of a brain tumour at the age of 25 in July 2025. George lived life fully and was deeply loved by his family, friends, and community. Walking together through Winchester, including Stanmore where George lived, is our way of honouring his life while helping to fund vital research and support services.
Brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer of children and adults under 40, yet they remain underfunded and under-researched. Every step we take and every donation made helps move us closer to better treatments, improved care, and ultimately a cure.
The walk will take place on Saturday 21st March 2026, starting at Pitt Park & Ride and finishing at The Queen Inn, one of George’s favourite pubs, where we will raise a glass in his memory.
All money raised will go directly to The Brain Tumour Charity. Any donation, no matter the size, will make a real difference and is hugely appreciated.
Thank you for supporting us and for helping to keep George’s memory alive through positive change.
