Story
It’s that time of year again. Where we the Allied Hawaiian Shirts command organise the fashion faux-pas of the year!
All in aid of the most amazing charity, Finley’s Touch! Finley’s Touch aims help children and their families fighting serious childhood illnesses. The charity set up by the family of Finley Relph.
Who was Finley?
Finley Edward Relf
Finley faced his illness with extraordinary courage, undergoing three stem cell transplants in his fight. Despite receiving exceptional care, he was sadly not able to overcome the disease and passed away on 6 December 2021, aged 8.
Finley left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
His memory continues to inspire the family and us as the Hawaiian Shirt Command, and this charity has been established in his name to support families facing similar journeys.
So what do you have to do?
Well that’s simple. Find the most horrendous shirt you can, wear it on Saturday 12th September 2026 at We Have Ways Fest, register on the day at our dedicated command station so we can judge your shirt. Prizes are given out before the main Ensa Show in the main tent Saturday evening.
There are 5 categories.
Worst male
Worst female
Worst child
Best reused shirt
Try hard award - for those that want to participate but just can’t wear something horrible!
Suggested donation to enter £10.
So what are you waiting for?! Let’s raise some serious cash, have a tonne of fun, turning WHWF a mish mash of colour rather than drab olive green! All to help children and families fighting childhood illnesses and cancer.
Thank you for helping us.
