Story
Organized by Aspire Competitions in Yeovil, the team and guests 'Badgers' intend to drive 15 unique classic air-cooled VW's across Europe on a 2600 mile journey over 12 days. This can be challenging in a modern car not to mention our cars that have a combined age of over 750 years !!! More information about the route can be found here:...... oh I nearly forgot to mention... Our car will have no roof or windows :).
The aim of this challenge is to raise awareness and funds for a great foundation benefiting amazing and unique children that have had a tough start in life.
The picture you see above is the car we will be traveling in 'Betty'as she stands today. Our story isn't a unique one,many cars for the same cause are being built as we speak with the deadline of 13th September shortly approaching.
All the projects are self funded with the support from Aspire Competitions and the team, everyone is working around the clock to have the cars ready on time.
We would like to specifically mention Old Skool Garage in Crewkerne that have allowed us to use their premises to build 'Betty',often helping out with problems that shouldn't even exist :) offering advice and help wherever possible.
