It’s been awhile since I’ve done anything like this again. I’ve raised thousands for different charities over the years. But this time it’s a lot more personal. July 5th 2023 my mum had a heart attack completely out of the blue, without being able to say goodbye or tell her about my honeymoon, I was left empty. This is the reason why I will be taking part in the Arc of attrition 100 mile running race, which goes around the whole of cornmall coastline. I am doing this to raise money and awareness for heart research UK. This is a UK based charity trying to research treatments and cures for people with heart issues and prevent people from having heart attacks. No amount of money is going to bring my mother back, but all I can do right now, is raise awareness that this is a real thing happening to hundreds and hundreds of families in the U.K. The Arc of attrition 100 mile is absolutely no joke, done in the middle of winter, you must at least complete a 100k running race before entering and yet still there will be on average over 50% of people who start won’t finish this race. For this reason I will be asking for volunteers to help me out on the weekend of the 26th of January.
