Boots vs NHS Scrubs charity football match

Haydn Hilton is raising money for Alzheimer's Society
In memory of Barry Aldridge

Charity Football Match · 19 July 2026

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Hi my names Haydn a massive football fan and the love for it was passed down from an incredible man who I had the honour of being my granddad.

I am organising a charity football match between a charity 11 and the NHS, to raise money for Alzheimers Society. My granddad Barry suffered from Alzheimer's and sadly passed away in October, so I have organised the match in his honour and the 2 teams will battle for the "Aldridge Cup"

Barry was an avid footballer in his younger days playing for several teams across Gloucestershire including Frampton and Wilton Rovers, after his playing career he moved in to football management so this is the perfect way to remember him and what he loved doing most!

Any donation or support is greatly appreciated and I cannot thank you enough!

So if you are a football fan, work for the NHS or simply want to watch who's going to win between the footballers and NHS feel free to join us at Gloucester City on the 19th July.

Thank you to this amazing charity and the NHS for the brilliant support you my family through this difficult time in our lives we will never forget it!

This one's for you Barry Aldridge
