Story
Thanks for visiting my Just Giving page!
With very little thought other than wanting to raise money for my children's school so they can build a new library, I've decided to swim a half marathon. I'll be taking on this challenge on 24th May at Lord Butler leisure centre from 1:30pm onwards.
2026 is the year of reading and books have always been hugely important to me so this is a cause close to my heart.
The school is still a long way off reaching their target to build the library so I really want to help!
The PTA comments:
'Our new school library will be a space for everyone to enjoy. It will be housed in the newly built Year 6 building, opening in the summer, and designed as a bright, open-plan area with a beautiful interior and shelves full of wonderful books. This library will be a calm, welcoming place where children can discover new stories, develop a love of reading, and grow in confidence as learners. From our youngest children listening to their first stories, to our older pupils exploring new authors and ideas, the library will be a shared space that supports learning, imagination, and a lifelong love of books — now and for many years to come.'
Thank you very much : )
