Story
I'm incredibly proud to be running the London Marathon 2027 in support of Brathay Trust.
Brathay is a charity close to home, helping young people across our communities build confidence, resilience and the skills they need to thrive.
Running wasn't always part of my life. I started with Couch to 5K and have gradually worked my way through 10Ks, the Manchester Half and, most recently, the Manchester Marathon.
I certainly won't be setting any records in London, infact I'll probably be somewhere near the back of the pack! I'm just an ordinary (slightly perimenopausal) woman who's daft enough to think running a marathon sounds like fun. My mum always used to say I was a stubborn little madam, and I think marathon training is one time when that's actually a good thing. I might be slow, but I'll keep going until I get to that finish line.
This page will follow my training, fundraising and everything that comes with preparing for marathon day. Along the way I'll be organising fundraising events, inviting local businesses to sponsor a mile, and hopefully bringing plenty of people along on the journey.
Every donation, no matter the size, will make a genuine difference to Brathay Trust and the young people they support.
