Story

I'm raising money for Bradford Rape Crisis by swimming the length of the English Channel — 22 miles — over the next three months.

Fitting this challenge into my already busy work and life schedule won’t be easy, but I’m determined to see it through. Bradford Rape Crisis is a charity very close to my heart. They provide crucial support to anyone in need, including a 24-hour helpline, and their work across our local council area — as part of a wider network across England and Wales — makes a real difference to so many lives.

It’s heartbreaking that so many people need their support, but Bradford Rape Crisis truly is a beacon of hope. I’m proud to take on this personal challenge in their name.

22 miles equals 1,416 lengths of my local pool — that’s 39 lengths, three times a week for three months. It’s going to take some serious determination (and maybe a miracle!), but I’m ready to give it my all.

Please consider sponsoring me to help Bradford Rape Crisis continue their incredible work. Every donation counts — thank you so much for your support.
