Every single year, millions of defenseless animals are locked in UK laboratory cages, subjected to painful, archaic, and deeply distressing experiments. Despite modern scientific breakthroughs, these sentient creatures are treated as disposable lab equipment, suffering behind closed doors in the name of safety testing and research.

The vast majority of animals enduring these cruel procedures are small, vulnerable, and completely hidden from public view.

- Dogs: Hundreds of gentle Beagles are bred solely to be poisoned in regulatory toxicity tests, pump-fed chemicals until their bodies fail.

- Monkeys: Highly intelligent primates are ripped from social structures, caged alone, and used in invasive neurological and infectious disease experiments.

- Cats and Horses: Subjected to painful veterinary or neurological trials, enduring conditions no loved pet would ever face

- Mice, fish, rats and birds: Injected with toxic chemicals, given tumours, poisoned, surgically altered, force fed. The horrible list goes on.

Animal testing is not just cruel; it is bad science. Over 90% of drugs that pass animal trials go on to fail in human clinical trials because animals simply do not mimic human biology. We are pouring resources into a failing, abusive system while proven, cutting-edge alternatives—like human-on-a-chip technology, advanced computer models, and lab-grown human tissues, are starved of the funding they need.
