Story
We aren’t entirely sure whose idea this was, but 15 of us at ESP have signed up to take on The Banchory Beast on Saturday 12th September – a 10K assault course with 30 obstacles.
Last year, we did what we’re now calling the warmup – a MacTuff Really Muddy 5K – and raised just over £3,500 for Arbroath Community Trust. It was a great reminder of what you can achieve when a group of people get behind something, so this year we thought we’d make things a little (ok, a lot) harder and try to beat our total from last year.
More team members. Double the distance. And a whopping 30 obstacles. I think that deserves a £5,000 fundraising target.
We know it’s a big ask, but Arbroath Community Trust does some really important work across our community, supporting some cracking local initiatives. If we’re going to put ourselves through the mud, we might as well try to make it count for an excellent cause.
So, on 12th September, Blood, Sweat & Cheers will be taking on the Beast. There will be mud, questionable decisions and, hopefully, a very happy team at the finish line.
If you’d like to support us, we’d really appreciate it – every donation will help us closer to that £5,000 target.
