A small charity with big hearts. Started in 1989 we have provided mobility to over 200 people and assisted in special adapted equipment for individuals. We hold any type of event where we think we can raise a bob or two including Garage sales, coffee mornings, band nights and charity dinners. Please help us continue by donating to our worthwhile cause, we rely on public support to help us continue our work.

Story

We are raising funds towards the craws nest trust.

This is an amazing charity that help children and adults who have mobility issues to receive more suitable privately funded wheelchairs.

From specially adapted children’s chairs to adults powered chairs.

This charity has recently helped our family by funding a specially adapted all terrain wheelchair for our wee lad who has a list of medical conditions and disabilities. He is confined to his wheelchair.

The chair the craws nest trust are funding for us was very expensive and no other local charities were able to help out with this amount.

The craws nest trust being specifically for people with additional needs understood how much we needed this to allow him the same opportunities as any other able bodied child and supported us from the very start of the journey. From support to book the private assessment and then liaising with the wheelchair company directly.

We were able to ensure we could get the ‘perfect’ chair! More comfortable, more supportive, super lightweight and specifically designed for him! Also with all terrain wheels to allow us access to nature! Freedom to allow him to be a child and explore!

We are awaiting our little lads new wheelchair to be delivered but are conscious there are loads of other people out there needing funding for wheelchairs and our little guys has took a massive amount of funding, that we’d love to try and contribute to this as much as possible.

Without this charity, we would be restricted to just his nhs wheelchair which is nearly 40kg on its own and does not do well on any terrain that is not smooth. So we no longer can venture out to parks, forests, beaches and zoos etc as it’s just near impossible to push on rough terrain.

We are so appreciative of this amazing charity and would love to firstly share the incredible work they do and secondly raise vital funds to allow them to keep doing what they do best!

Help those in need!
