Story
Hi! My name is Millie, I am 10 years old. I am raising money for local food banks, by taking on a swimming challenge. My aim is to swim as many lengths as I can in 5 weeks.
I am doing this for my Year 6 project, focusing on 'A Meal That Matters'. I have really thought about what this means, and it really made me think about how lucky I am to always have food to eat. Not everyone has that, and I think that's not fair.
Some families struggle to afford meals. I don't want anyone going to bed hungry or feeling worried about if they'll have a meal the next day. That's why I want to do something to help food banks in our local area.
Food banks do an amazing job helping people in our community, so I wanted to do something active to support them.
By swimming and asking for donations, I hope I can make even a small difference. Thank you for supporting me and helping others.
Every length counts!
