Nationally the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association has been supporting people affected by MND since 1979 - funding pioneering research, campaigning for better care, and providing direct support to individuals living with this devastating disease.
THE LOCAL BIRMINGHAM AND SOLIHULL GROUP
The work of our volunteers in the Birmingham and Solihull area is deeply rooted in the local community. We support local families through our regional care coordinators, volunteers, and support groups.
Whether it’s helping someone fund specialist equipment, providing safe spaces for them to come together socially, connecting them with local services, or simply being a listening ear, we’re here every step of the way.
We also work closely with local organisations, community groups, and healthcare professionals to raise awareness and ensure people affected by MND receive the support they need.
Events and initiatives in Birmingham and Solihull play a vital role in funding our work and building a compassionate network of support.
Every pound raised locally helps us make a real difference—bringing hope, dignity, and practical help to those facing MND in our region
