Glenville Walker is raising money for Emmaus UK

Big Marathon Month | Emmaus 2025 · 1 May 2025 to 31 May 2025 ·

Run, walk, swim or whatever you fancy — 26.2 miles in the month of May, or more if you're up for the challenge! Raise money for Emmaus, helping people who have experienced homelessness and poverty with a home, work experience and tailored support.

Story

This May, with the support of Glenville Walker, I'm taking part in the Emmaus Big Marathon Month - a national fundraising challenge in support of Emmaus Merseyside. I'll be Zumba dancing my way to the top of my 26.2 mile goal (at least!) over the month of May. Honestly...dancing is my best foot forward when fundraising, as the internet would have a meltdown seeing footage of me doing 'my best running a marathon efforts', when I run like Phoebe from the famous and beloved American sitcom, Friends!

Every choreographed wiggle, shimmy and shuffle will be to raise money and awareness for the amazing work that Emmaus Merseyside do to help end homelessness across the Northwest, UK.

Emmaus Merseyside is so much more than a charity that puts a roof over someone's head. They provide a real and lasting route out of homelessness - offering people a home for as long as they need it, along with meaningful work, training, and personalised support to rebuild their lives.

The passionate team at Emmaus Merseyside are seriously ripping up the rule book on what it takes to physically and mentally support our local homeless community, and is focused on boosting them with confidence and real sustainable life skills to empower them into the next stages of their personal and professional lives. But they can't do any of this fabulous work without the support of people like you cheerleading and donating to them along the way!

Come along with me on the journey through Salsa, Pop and R&B and donate to show your appreciation to our local Emmaus volunteers.
