I am raising the money for the Windsor Community Kitchen Project.

Currently I bake for the Tree House Cafe and would like to pass these skills on through their Community Kitchen Project.

My passion is baking which was taught to me by my mother so baking to me is a gift of love and memories all wrapped up in a cake!

I started running 9 years ago with the GR8 Runners at the same time I started baking for the Cafe so it seems fitting to try and raise some money for this amazing place! I haven't run a 10 k for 6 years but intend to complete the course whether I run, walk or plod BUT there will be a sprint at the finish line! (thanks to my coach Ged!)

I just wondered if people would be willing to support me by donating the cost of their next coffee and cake (£5) and together we can help make the vision of baking in the Church for the Cafe start.

My target of £400 is to buy a food processor for the Community Kitchen.

This is the vision of the Community Kitchen at Windsor Baptist Church:

Our Community Kitchen project will empower people to come together to cook and build community, learn new skills and be more confident to seek employment in the wider community. It will provide a weekly source of meals for some families who attend the after school group.

We would like to offer individuals the chance to be part of a social enterprise scheme of baking for the Tree House Cafe (in house community cafe).

A better equipped kitchen will also provide cooking opportunities for the wider community who run groups in the building to use.

We feel that a kitchen is the heart of any 'home' and we want to provide this base of support, mental wellbeing and fun to create a warm and welcoming space that is creative and nourishing for all who use it.
