We are hosting our annual charity challenge. This year, Greenites will cover 3,429 km over 27 days, averaging 127 km each day, to represent the 127 children in the UK who lose a parent every day. Through this effort we are proud to raise money for Child Bereavement UK.

Child Bereavement UK supports children, young people and families when someone important in their life dies. They provide specialist support, counselling and guidance to help families navigate grief, which can feel overwhelming and isolating without the right help. The charity also trains professionals in education, healthcare and other services so more people are equipped to support bereaved families with understanding and compassion.

It is important for us to remember that Hazelwell takes great pride in its strong and supportive community. Just as Hazelwell provides a sense of belonging for its pupils and families, Child Bereavement UK offers a vital network and community for families facing unimaginable loss. By supporting this challenge, we hope to help ensure that no child or family has to face bereavement alone.
