Ey up mate!

Myself and my old pal Joe are attempting to complete the Lyke Wake Walk in Autumn this year. It's a 42 mile hike over the North Yorkshire moors which must be completed in one day. I'm a seasoned hiker but this will be the furthest I've hiked in one sitting and as Joe isn't a seasoned hiker I thought this would be the perfect challenge for us to test ourselves and at the same time make a bit of money for a worthy cause.

We chose Cancer research as our charity for a couple of reasons, I wouldn't be here now without them, having fought cancer myself and our good friend Lucy is currently fighting her own battle. As well as raising much needed funds we'd also like to shine a light on cancer and encourage people to get checked and not to feel ashamed or embarrassed, especially when it comes to our most intimate parts.
