This September, we'll be running the New Forest Half Marathon in memory of my amazing husband - the kindest and strongest person I knew, who we heartbreakingly lost earlier this year. Life is not the same without him.

I'll also be running for my friend Claire, who we also sadly said goodbye to far too soon.

Many of you know the heartbreak behind both of these losses, and the impact they’ve had on everyone who loved them.

This run is for them.

I'm raising money for the Police Children's Fund, which supports children who have lost a parent serving in the police. It's a cause that feels so personal and so needed — a way to turn loss into something that can help others carry on.
