Our Husband, Father, Brother, Dada, Teacher, Mentor and Friend - Harivadan Chunibhai Patel, passed away on 16th September 2026, aged 79.

Dad was a patron and a dedicated devotee at Bhaktivedanta Manor. It was the centre of his life and the values he found there, service, devotion and hospitality, were the ones he carried home with him every day.

He had a gift for making people feel welcome. Family, friends and people he had only just met came away from his company lighter than they arrived, and many found their own way to the Manor through him.

Rather than flowers, we would be grateful if you would consider a donation in his memory. The Manor gave Dad a spiritual home and a community, and it goes on doing the same for thousands of others through the daily worship, the free meals, the festivals and the welcome shown to anyone who walks through its gates.

Giving in his name helps that work continue. It is what he would have wanted, and a fitting way to remember a man who spent his life in service to others.
