Over the next few months, HCPT Group 97 will be virtually walking the distance from Newport to Lourdes (a total of 929 miles) to raise money towards our annual target of £20,000 to take a group of children to Lourdes, France at Easter 2024 and give them the most fantastic week on a pilgrimage holiday.

It costs £1,000 to take each child to Lourdes.

To achieve this, we need your help, both through sponsorship and help to walk some miles towards our goal. Thank you! Every donation will make a big difference. All proceeds go to HCPT Group 97.

HCPT Group 97 is a Newport branch of the HCPT The Pilgrimage Trust, which is dedicated to taking handicapped and emotional or socially disadvantaged children aged 7 to 18, on a pilgrimage trip to Lourdes in the south of France with HCPT.

We have one very special aim, to give these children the most fantastic week on holiday. Each child has at least one helper to give them the individual care they need. As a group we share amazing experiences and become a very close knit family that goes far beyond our week away.

Our group is made up of volunteers with varied skills, backgrounds and experiences, who support the group, fundraise and travel to Lourdes to look after the children.
