"Heacham Parish Church is much loved and in usual times, well used by locals and visitors as a place of prayer, peace, worship and community life", says Rev Wilson.

"However, rapid deterioration in the stonework caused by roof and gutter damage means parts of the tower have become weakened to an alarming extent. Repairs will cost £25,000."
