Since the war on Palestine (October 7th), the Palestinian death tolls has exceeded 22,000, with over 9,000 of them being children. There has been over 58,000 people injured, again more than 8,000 being children and over 7,000 people missing (Al Jazeera). Shockingly, over 80% of people going through famine or a catastrophic type of hunger reside in Gaza right now (MEE).
With such a horrific genocide unfolding infront of our very own eyes, a few of us local Heald Green mums and our primary school children have decided to raise some funds in aid of the Palestinians🇵🇸.
In order to raise funds, we will be walking, cycling or scootering for 1 mile around our local park during the month of January 2024. Raised funds through JustGiving will be transferred to the Human Appeal charity. The funds will be used towards providing essential aid for the vulnerable Palestinians, such as clean water, food and medical supplies.
Please help with this worthy cause by donating generously, as not only will you be aiding the vulnerable Palestinian civilians, but you will also be encouraging young children towards fundraising and teaching them the importance of charity.
Whoever saves a life, it will be as if they saved all of humanity (Quran).
Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them, humanity cannot survive (Dalai Lama).
