Windsor 50 Ultra Challenge 2026 · 18 April 2026 · Start fundraising for this event

We‘re the world‘s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving and improving lives through research. We fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of more than 200 types of cancer through the work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses.

Story

We are two friends, Katy Strudwick and Megan Walker, taking on a 50 km Ultra March from Windsor Racecourse, aiming to complete it in 12 hours or less! The walk heads along scenic looped routes through the Great Park, taking in breath-taking views of Windsor Castle, Runnymede, the Thames Path, and the beautiful surrounding countryside.

Why are we walking?

We’re walking in memory of loved ones we’ve lost to cancer, and in support of those close to us currently fighting the disease. Every step we take is to raise funds for Cancer Research UK, to help bring hope and life-saving breakthroughs to people affected by cancer. Your support means the world—every donation helps us get closer to a future without cancer.

Katy's Story

I am taking on this challenge in memory of my Mum and Ed, but also to support friends and family who are currently having to deal with this horrible disease. I hope that by taking part in this 50k challenge, we will help raise money to fund research into all types of cancer, and support everyone affected by a cancer diagnosis. We are with you xx

Megan's Story

I’m walking this Ultra March to stand alongside two amazing women who mean the world to me. Both are bravely facing chemotherapy treatment. Watching them fight cancer with such strength and resilience has been both heart-breaking and inspiring. Every step I take on April 18th is for them—and for everyone affected by this disease. By supporting me, you’re helping Cancer Research UK fund vital research and treatments that bring hope to countless lives.
