We are a friend group of congenital heart patients raising funds for a brilliant charity by taking on the challenge of an epic 10K walk through London. Please support our walk, our laughs, and our legs… which may or may not make it all the way!

About us - Vicki, Anna & Camilla

We are three somewhat breathless yet gutsy friends from London and Oxford, who first met in 2018 at a BHF event for Congenital Heart Patients. Along with three others, we made an immediate connection that day, realising the value of our shared experiences. Living life with a dodgy ticker can be a wild, isolating and sometimes scary ride - but having each other now eases that journey so much. We are able to share humour, perspective, deep understanding and above-all encouragement, whilst we navigate the highly unpredictable and complex nature of our health.

And why now??

Between 2024 & 2026, all three of us have (or will be) celebrating our 40th birthdays - something that is more spectacular for us and our families than we could ever put into words. We have all had many moments where we didn’t think we would be here today and have lived with that very difficult reality our whole lives. However, turning 40 feels like a true point at which to say “we have made it, we have survived”. Who knew a 10k would ever be on the cards?!

This walk is now a chance to celebrate our marvellous friendship, our forged lives and to also support the brilliant work that the BHF has always done to help all heart patients across the UK.
