2023 Christmas Appeal

Hearts of Queens Project is raising money for Refuge
Donations cannot currently be made to this page
Refuge opened the world’s first refuge in West London in 1971. We support thousands of women & children every day, experiencing domestic and sexual violence, female genital mutilation, forced marriage, stalking, trafficking, prostitution & so-called ‘honour’ based violence.

Story

This year's Hearts of Queens Christmas Appeal will once again support Refuge, the U.K.'s largest domestic violence organisation.

One woman in four will experience domestic violence at some point in her lifetime and two women are killed each week in England and Wales by a current or former partner.

Refuge supports thousands of women & children on any given day, experiencing domestic & sexual abuse, female genital mutilation, forced marriage, stalking, trafficking, prostitution & so-called ‘honour’ based violence.

It costs £500 per day to run one shelter. Our fundraising target - £2,500 - aims to pay for five shelters for one day this Christmas.

Raffle: tickets cost £1 and will be drawn on Sunday 17 December 2023. We have some exciting prizes, including:

• £120 APAT Poker Ticket

• €100 and €50 Unibet Poker Tickets

• £100 MainEventTravel.com Vouchers

• Exclusive Formula 1 Merchandise Pack

• Poker Coaching Session - GUKPT Champion, Stuart Rutter
