We are fundraising to enable us to take part in our Red Banana Youth Group trip to Oradea in Romania where we will spend October Half Term week doing volunteer work for the amazing SMILES Foundation Christian Charity who provide social care to disadvantaged groups, run residential homes and children's nurseries /after school clubs and deliver food parcels and medicines to people in need. We will help out with these activities and also do manual work for SMILES such as cleaning and painting. SMILES supplement their charitable activities through the running of a commercial flower growing operation and we will help out in their vast greenhouses planting flower bulbs.

We also send Christmas Shoe boxes via the charity Link to Hope to Romania, Ukraine, Bulgaria and Moldova and additional money raised will also go towards this year's Christmas Shoe Box Appeal.

Please sponsor us on our walk originally scheduled on 26th July but due to injury, is now taking place on the 19th September, all being well. We will be walking the metric marathon distance of 26km come rain or shine along the beautiful Roman Wall.
