Mum was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in September 2021. She was a frequent visitor to Heulwen ward for treatment including chemotherapy and immunotherapy, as well as Triage when things invariably got bumpy.

In her final weeks she also spent time in Enfys ward where she passed away peacefully on Saturday 14th June 2025.

Mum couldn't speak highly enough of all the staff on these wards as well as her amazing Consultant, Dr Garcia, and I will forever be in their debt for the incredible empathy and dignity they afforded to Mum and the support they gave me along the way.
