Story
On the 20th June, I’ll be swimming the full length of Coniston Water end-to-end — 5.25 miles (8.45 km) — to raise money for Level Water, an incredible charity that provides swimming lessons for children with disabilities.
Last year I took on the Bantham Boomerang and had my first experience with a Level Water event - and what an amazing experience it was! Hearing of the impact of their work firsthand was unforgettable. Level Water fund one-to-one swimming lessons for children with a wide range of disabilities, giving them confidence, independence, and the chance to experience the joy and freedom of being in the water. Swimming is an escape for me and something I feel everyone should have the joy of experiencing in a safe and supported environment.
This challenge will be tough, but that’s part of the motivation — doing something brilliantly hard for a truly brilliant cause. Every donation helps more children gain access to life-changing swimming lessons. Any donation, no matter how small will be so appreciated. Let the training commence... 🩵🏊🏻♀️
