In Sheffield, we are working really hard to make sure that Music Education is for everyone. In the current financial landscape of rising costs, that is getting more and more difficult. Currently, the Friends & Volunteers fully fund places in our Music groups for children from low income families. For 25-26 it will cost £210 per child but for that they can attend as many music groups as they want to for the whole year which is amazing value. To help ensure we don't have to say no to any families this year, I am going to run the Sheffield 10k! I don't do running except when I got talked into this 8 years ago for a similar reason...I would love to raise a minimum of £210 but wouldn't it be great if I could fund 2 children at the cost of £420!? I appreciate any donations, no matter how big or small - it will really motivate me to keep training!
