Story
In a few weeks it will be the 10-year anniversary of my friend Fi’s death. To mark this, and to celebrate her life, I’ll be running the Bristol Half Marathon in May to raise money and awareness for FEES Fund — a charity created in Fi’s name.
FEES Fund helps young people take part in extracurricular activities by removing financial barriers. Its work supports skills development while building confidence and resilience — things that can have a lifelong impact.

Growing up, Fi and I went to Scouts together and were lucky enough to enjoy so many brilliant experiences: camping, adventures, and time spent outdoors with our families. It means so much to think that this fundraiser could help other young people access similar opportunities, regardless of their financial situation.
Anyone who knows me knows I’m not the sportiest of people — I’m far more likely to be found knitting or sewing than running long distances. I’m pretty sure Fi would think I was completely mad for doing this… but there’s honestly no one else I’d do it for.
If you’re able to donate, no matter how small, it would mean the world to me and help continue Fi’s legacy in a way that feels truly special.
Thank you so much for reading, sharing, or supporting 💛

Any contributions are very much appreciated x
