Dear friends,

This December I'm competing at the British Rowing Indoor Championships, racing for 2 kilometers to raise money for Beautiful Inside & Out -- a remarkable charity working to prevent teen suicide and supporting families who have lost a child.

This cause is deeply personal to me: my family has benefited from the support its founder, Pauline Moriarty, and her team provide. Some of you may recall that I also worked alongside my friend and colleague Peter Mann on a fundraiser in memory of his son, Blair.

Beautiful Inside & Out does extraordinary work with limited resources. It offers counseling, therapy and emotional support to young people and bereaved families. Every pound raised helps them continue to save lives and bring hope where it’s most needed.

Rowing has been incredibly important to me, supporting my physical and mental health. The 2k indoor rowing challenge is a new one for me and I'm aiming for a top three position in my age category.
