The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.

Story

Anyone who knows me appreciates how important animals, and especially dogs are in my life.

After many years of being lucky enough to look after a beautiful Guide dog named Pedro (when my friend Ann went on her holidays) I learnt how "AMAZING" these dogs are.

The incredible amount of important work puppy raisers do, and WOW to the dog trainers what can I say. So many other people are involved with Guide Dogs too many to mention, they are an incredible team and I am delighted to do my little bit.

When the wonderful goal of a Fully trained Guide dog is achieved and the very grateful blind or partial sighted person is gifted the ability to leave their home with their life changing dog no words can describe this.

Having already fund raised to name a puppy Mia after our beautiful little yellow girl, I am now excited to start this venture again naming a Guide Dog Puppy Gaia.

Gaia will also be the name of a puppy I hope to illustrate with Susan Cohen from The Wee Book Company in a children's book giving awareness to young children and opening their eyes to the World of a Guide Dog.

Please help me achieve this goal and help another blind person.
