Story

Charlie Siderfin and Heather Morris are raising money for BASICS Scotland, The Sandpiper Trust and The Rural GPs Association of Scotland, as part of the #RoadToOrkney2025!

We'll be covering the relay's journey through Sutherland and into Caithness, on 10th July! Charlie feels he’s been training for this event most of his life, perfecting his walking since he was a toddler. He hopes to walk 19 miles from Tongue, arriving in Armadale on his last legs to hand the Sandpiper Bag on to Heather! She'll cycle the 24 miles onwards, expecting a spectacular welcome from her home town of Thurso, before the bag travels on to Orkney with the Thurso, Longhope, Stromness and Wick lifeboats.

Help us raise money for these essential charities and raise awareness for delivery of rural healthcare!
