14 weeks ago I underwent surgery to fit plates and screws in my broken jaw which I broke in 3 places in a cycling accident. I also fractured my wrist, my finger and some teeth and have some nerve damage in my hands and am still undergoing treatment...but God knew I'd need my legs to work to cope with recovery! For which I'm so grateful!

I've been raising funds for SOHTIS by running the Berlin marathon. My goal was to raise £2,500 to support this amazing cause and I am so thankful to you for helping power me on.

It's only recently I've been made aware of the fact there are more slaves now than when slavery was legal.Nearly 50 million are in slavery today. I've been so moved after watching the 'Sound of Freedom' movie and reminded "God's children are not for sale" I therefore want to raise funds and awareness of human trafficking around us all.

This has been a big challenge for me as eating is difficult and I need fuel to run. My face feels like it hangs, my jaws ache and my braces and bands chaff my gums when I run and chew.

Having this goal has helped my recovery and given me a purpose to help those who have had their freedom stolen.

Your support will help SOHTIS continue their mission of providing essential services to those in need.
