On the 2nd November 2022 my partner Nicky who was 35 at the time was diagnosed with breast cancer. 1month later, on the 2nd December she had a single mastectomy.

On the 2nd March 2023 just 4 months later she started back at work.

Rotherham Cancer Care helped Nicky with her anxiety. Her confidence. Her overall wellbeing.

Although there are many Cancer charities out there we chose this one as their support is priceless, they have asked for nothing in return and we want to do our bit to help them keep going and to help as many people and their families get support through one of the most horrendous things you can go through.

To my Nicky. You are unstoppable.

The Rowbothams Round Rotherham  is a 50 mile trail race in and around the outskirts of Rotherham. Heather ran a basic marathon (26 miles) in 3.36 hours so is a realistic but tough challenge that is recoverable. Cancers physical and emotional effects on those that have fought and recovered is not as easy. This is a mere challenge to raise much needed funds with Heather at the start line and Nicky at the finish line. 💜💜
