Story
With current figures estimating that 1 in 2 people will receive a cancer diagnosis at some point during their lifetime, I'm running (or maybe running and walking!) the Sheffield 10k, not just for my family but, for everyone who has needed, currently needs, or, will need, in the future, the services of the amazing St Luke's Hospice in Sheffield. There really is nowhere else like it.
Having lost my Sister to breast cancer in October 2023, my Sister's dog, Zeze, to liver cancer in January 2025 and my Mum to cervical cancer in May 2025, I decided that I needed to do something positive with my grief by giving back. Anyone who knows me, knows I am not a runner but hey, if you don't try, you don't know and life really is too short to procrastinate.
The running costs for St Luke's Hospice are £14 million per year. This year, they need to raise £10.5 million. Please help me to support St Luke's. Any amount would be hugely appreciated.
