Story
Earlier this year, my dad was diagnosed with both prostate cancer and kidney cancer. What followed was multiple operations, countless appointments and, eventually, a double organ removal surgery. He is now undergoing chemotherapy, and, in true Gary fashion, he is absolutely smashing it! 💪💚 Anyone who knows my dad will know that he is one of the most positive people you could ever meet. Throughout everything he has faced this year, his positivity and outlook on life have been nothing short of inspiring. So, I’ll be taking on a skydive to raise money for Kidney Cancer UK, a charity that has an incredibly important role in supporting people affected by kidney cancer.
If you’re able to donate, no matter how big or small, I would be incredibly grateful. And if you can’t donate, sharing this page would mean just as much.
Thank you so much for your support and here’s hoping I’m still feeling this brave when I’m at the edge of that plane! 😅🪂💚
Kidney Cancer UK is the UK’s leading kidney cancer charity. It provides support, information and resources to kidney cancer patients and their families, while also raising awareness of the disease and helping to fund vital research into its causes, prevention and treatment. The charity also works to promote earlier diagnosis and help patients make informed decisions about their treatment and care. Most importantly, the support is there not just for the person receiving the diagnosis, but for their families and carers too, because a cancer diagnosis affects so many people around them. Their services include professional support, counselling, information resources and a dedicated support line for those who need someone knowledgeable and understanding to talk to.
