A team of us will all be completing the three peaks challenge to raise money to support Hector's house. · 5 July 2025

Established in memory of Hector Stringer, who died by suicide at 18, our charity is dedicated to proving suicide is preventable and that help is always within reach. Everyone deserves access to life-saving support. With your help, together we can offer hope and save lives.

Story

What started as a team of 3 friends (Sam, Duncan and Lloyd), as well as Craig, who went to school with Hector from the start of school until he left to college, has grown to include other friends and family, to raise as much as we can for Hector's House. We will be completing the Three Peaks Challenge, starting at Ben Nevis and finishing with Snowdon via Scarfell Pike, within 24 hours.

Hector's House was Founded following Hector Stringer taking his life at the age of 18. He didn't realise that things can and do get better and he didn't reach out to his friends and family to ask for help when he needed it most. We believe that suicide can be prevented, if we all realise that mental health is fluid, that you can get help, you are not alone, people do care. We are raising money so that hopefully, we can prevent suicide, though increased awareness, education and support.

The team is a group that knew and have seen the positive legacy that the charity has provided through Hector's gentleman's club, Hectalks and through supporting with courses, offered to local services, such as the Assist suicide first aid course. As well as allowing support through texting Hector to 85258, and being a physical presence at many events including delivering talks in organisations to raise awareness of mental health support and coping with stress.
