Story
In 2026, I’ll be taking on the London Marathon — 26.2 miles of grit, determination, and (I’m sure) a fair bit of pain — all in support of the Royal Marines Charity.
The Royal Marines have been a huge part of my life. I proudly served with 42 Commando, 30 Commando, and Royal Marines Pool, before moving into private security. During my service, I saw first-hand the commitment, courage, and resilience it takes to wear the green beret. But I also saw the sacrifices — not just from those serving, but from their families.
The Royal Marines Charity does incredible work supporting serving and retired Marines, as well as their loved ones, through injury recovery, mental health support, resettlement into civilian life, and helping families in times of hardship. Their motto is simple but powerful: “Once a Marine, Always a Marine.”
Running this marathon is my way of giving something back — to honour those I served alongside, to remember those who are no longer with us, and to help ensure that Marines and their families get the support they need when they need it most.
I have a target to raise £2,000, and every penny will go directly to the Royal Marines Charity to fund their vital work.
Whether you can spare £5 or £50, your support will make a real difference. Together, we can help the charity continue to be there for our Royal Marines family.
Thank you for supporting me, and for supporting them.
Per Mare, Per Terram.
