Hedley May has enjoyed a wonderful partnership with Girls Inc. of New York City through our volunteering and sponsorship initiatives. To celebrate Hedley May’s 15-year anniversary and our longstanding association with Girls Inc., we are co-founding a new transformative program, “Personal Branding for the Next Generation”. Participants will learn to shape their unique brand to build confidence and maximize their impact in the office, on social media, in interviews, and in other professional and social settings.

Girls Inc. of New York City is an independent, 501(c)(3) nonprofit that inspires girls, young women, and gender-expansive young people from underserved communities to be strong, smart, and bold with its delivery of life-transforming programs throughout New York City.

Girls Inc. Programming:

1. Project Accelerate- speeds the entry of young women into positions of leadership in the workplace.

2. Healthy Living- focuses on physical and mental wellness, providing tools and guidance to equip girls with the means to effectively manage adversity and embrace a healthy lifestyle.

3. Academic/STEM- introduces girls to the world of Big Data (critical thinking and problem-solving), data analytics, and careers in STEM fields.

4. Leadership Workshops- topics include economic literacy, community action, media awareness, and teen leadership circles.

10,000 girls reached annually.

99% of students graduate high school (compared to New York City’s graduation rate of 83.7%).

92% of students admitted to college are still enrolled a year later.

85% of students identify as leaders and feel equipped to make informed decisions.
