I am one of the vets at Vale Wildlife hospital.

We have already admitted more patients in 2024 than in any other years, all of this comes at a cost. Feeding, electricity, staff and veterinary medication bills all increase.

We really want to do more evidence based medicine in order to provide a greater level of care. To do this we need to do more diagnostic tests, and purchase equipment which will enable us to do that. We want to purchase equipment which will make monitoring our anesthesia safer.

It’s vital to do more post release monitoring, this comes at a additional cost and when the budget is already spread thin it’s harder to spend money on the things we like to have or do, and hence why I am creating this fund which will focus on bettering our veterinary treatments.

As you can see I have quite a big wish list!
