Story
So, marathon training is underway - 136 miles so far - for my 12th London Marathon. This year, I am running for Round Table Children's Wish again, a charity which grants wishes to children and young people with life-limiting illnesses.
Over the last couple of years, my family and I have experienced first hand, the total devastation that a life-threatening disease can bring and unfortunately, I know we are not alone. I cannot begin to imagine how it would feel to have a child in this situation. Yet, there are courageous and resilient families out there, who live this nightmare every single day, only having a small, unknown amount of time left with their beloved children.
And so, if I can run a few miles round London and bring just a little bit of happiness to such families by helping them make precious, priceless memories together or by bringing a smile to the face of a poorly child, I am determined to do so.
Of course, I cannot do this alone. Not that I am expecting anyone to run 26.2 miles with me but if you could, in any way, support my efforts with a donation, I would be more than grateful as would all those families coping with life-threatening disease every day. No donation is too small and every penny counts.
Huge thanks and love to you all in advance of your support,
Heidi xxxxxx
