We are a registered charity, established with the purpose of supporting young people to achieve their full potential. The service has a strong strategic representation across a number of policy objectives including health, education and community engagement. We deliver developmental programmes, taking positive approaches to help young people experiencing challenging circumstances move forward in their lives. Programmes are designed to support young people to thrive, regardless of the challenges they face. Our ethos is based upon a strong shared commitment to reaching young people where they are, building relationships of respect and trust, and supporting young people to succeed.

Story

Positive Youth Foundation raise the aspirations and life chances of 8- to 25-year-olds. They run regular groups with girls and young women, looked after children and newly arrived refugees.

Our donations will help people at risk of exclusion from school, offending or exploitation, enabling PYF to deliver weekly functional skills classes to c. 20 young people over 40 weeks of the year. It will also enable them to offer some places to young people who were not referred directly from a paying provider, and it will cover some of their related costs for supervision, teaching materials and lunch for some students who stay with them after the class. This will reach young people who would otherwise not have the opportunity to participate in this programme.

The picture shows a group of young people and PYF team members who put together a Santa's Grotto, so that everyone involved in PYF could receive a present at the end of the year

Colleague donations will be matched.
